Ricky Tims Super Quilt Seminar

Amazing Quilt Troop

Welcome to our BRAND NEW Long Arm Club!! Every segment of the program (12 months) will include an embroidered badge when you complete the assignment for that month AND a Block Pattern to go into a finished project!

The question has already come up, can I join if I have a domestic sit down sewing machine like the 7 Series or 8 Series?  Thank you for asking, but no. This is for the true quilting machine owners.  The dynamics and technical issues are different from a domestic machine with feed dogs versus a long arm machine where the needle only goes up and down with no feed dogs.

The Troop meetings will start in January 2017! We will start with a basic refresher on ALL aspects of Machine Quilting (sitdown and/or standup). Remember what they are??  Thread ~ Needle ~ Tension!!  And we will start with monthly projects! These can be made on either the sitdown or standup frame. Although some projects will be geared toward one or the other.  Some ideas kicking around include:

~ Tips and Tricks for Ruffled Borders and other Problem areas
~ Tips and Tricks for Placemats and Tablerunners
~ Sewing zippers into projects - yes, on the Long Arm!
~ Pre-quilting Fabric for clothing sewing and construction
~ Turning your Longarm into an Embroidery Machine
~ Attaching Binding to a quilt while it's still on the frame
~ Making a quilted cover for your Long Arm
~ Piecing and quilting a row quilt as you go!
~ Ruler work - whether you want to or not!
~ Digitizing Redwork designs and quilting over them!
~ Trapunto and Sashiko on the Long Arm
~ The Art of Thread Art on the Long Arm

At this time, if you have purchased your long arm from us, this first year, you may join the club for FREE.  If you purchased your long arm elsewhere, you may join us for $199 per year.   I am limiting the number of attendees, so membership will be based on a first come, first serve of those people who purchased machines from us, then others.

Every member will get all the projects monthly, a notebook to put them in and a Saturday afternoon meeting for 2 hours.  This will be a time to share what you've learned with others!!  We may spend time on how to run a Long Arm Quilting Business, but the goal here is to help you improve your skills on the machine you have or would like to have!
