In this six part workshop you may choose between two designs - Claudia Dinnell's Baltimore or Smiths Street's Flower Dance. Regardless of which design you choose, the focus of the workshop will be on machine embroidery and appliqué techniques! Each class will meet for 2 days each month for 6 months.
This is an excellent class for beginning to intermediate machine embroiderers. The 6 month series will take you from the beginning set up, through the appliqué and machine embroidery process and finally to the steps for completing the quilt. Each month we will meet for one weekend from 10am-4pm Friday and/or Saturday, October through to March
You will learn: * How to pick the correct stabilizers! * When and how would you combine designs! * How to prepare and complete your appliqués! * Which size hoop is best for a particular block * How to set up for multi-hooping if your machine has a smaller throat.
Whether you have some embroidery/appliqué experience or none, this is your chance to either learn new techniques or to improve the techniques you already have in a supportive environment. And best of all, at the end of six months you will have a big sense of accomplishment, you will know the embroidery part of your machine intimately, AND you will have a COMPLETED quilt!

For Smith Street's Floral Dance: Class Fee: $120 Pattern: $36 for the first 2 months (October, November) and then $18 per month Plus Fabric, Thread and Stabilizers
