Chunky Blanket Class

Join Heather McCloskey via Zoom here at Quilting Delights with this fabulous and fun hand knit chunky blanket. Heather usually charges $15 for a one hour class, but I've convinced her to hang out with us for 2 hours for $25. This is quite the deal! And just in time for gift giving.....
This will be a Sunday afternoon class from 2pm - 4pm. And it's on my birthday so there will be cake and coffee included!

and welcome to Heather's virtual chunky blanket class! I am so happy you’re here and I can’t wait to have Heather help us create our very own beautiful blanket. You will have some time to gather the supplies you need for this class. The best part is it's just your yarn, a lighter and your two hands. We have scissors here....Yarn
options - come in and see the store yarn samplesYou can use Bernat Blanket Big Yarn which is 100% polyester and is high quality and so soft. There are other options you can definitely explore.
You can get your yarn from Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, etc.
6 skeins of Bernat yarn or 7 skeins of Hobby Lobby yarn and it is 30% off every other week!!
You can create a blanket with one color or multiple colors.
I'm going to make a Christmas one with White and Red! 4 Red and 2 White skeins for this one.
We will make a lap size in class. About 4' x 6' or 48" x 72"
Any bigger than that just keep adding on skeins until you get to your desired size. These blankets are big and heavy just an FYI. I'll email you a handout with a variety of sizes and yarn requirements after class.
Since Heather is in Michigan, CLASS WILL BE HERE at the store for the first 12 signups and via zoom for the other 100 or so of you that want to sign up! We will have a very large 60" tv to watch the class on.....it will be via ZOOM!! We will record it and send out the recording for all of you to have for future reference.
The way these live classes work....
Heather and I will go LIVE here in this group at the date and time listed above and show you step by step how you begin your blanket, add on rows, add on skeins using the burn method and how to finish your blanket with its finishing row too.
I answer questions throughout my live that you may ask and I go at the pace of the class to make sure everyone fully understands each step before moving on.
The best part is you are with others who are learning along side you. This group will be a space for you to ask questions, show your progress and just simply connect as a community of chunky blanket makers.
